My Intention: Why I Created The Conscious Human

Oct 21, 2026

A more conscious humanity, awakened one person at a time.

I've spent much of my life trying to understand the human experience. Why we become who we become. Why we repeat patterns that cause us pain, even when we understand where they came from. Why we can feel so disconnected from ourselves and one another, and why something within us continues searching for meaning, connection, and a deeper understanding of who we are.

For nearly twenty years, I worked alongside people experiencing trauma, addiction, poverty, violence, grief, and some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable. I witnessed incredible suffering, and I also witnessed courage, compassion, resilience, and the extraordinary capacity we have to change.

My own life has been an ongoing exploration of many of those same questions. I've spent decades trying to understand myself, unraveling beliefs, healing old wounds, and discovering just how many identities I'd developed to survive, belong, or be loved. My spiritual experiences have also changed how I understand God, consciousness, the soul, and what it means to be alive.

And the more I've explored, the more I've come to believe that we are so much more than we've been taught to believe.

I believe we are souls having a deeply human experience. That we're connected to God/Source, one another, the Earth, and something far greater than our individual lives. Yet we can become so immersed in our experiences, our conditioning, and the roles we've learned to play that we lose touch with that connection.

I think of this as soul amnesia. We begin living from everything we've learned about who we are, often without questioning how much of it was shaped by fear, shame, expectation, or the need to feel safe.

The vision behind The Conscious Human

The Conscious Human grew from a vision I've carried for years: a more conscious humanity.

I've wondered what our world might look like if more of us were willing to question what we've inherited, recognize the patterns we keep repeating, and become more aware of how our beliefs influence the way we treat ourselves and others.

What would change if we recognized when our own pain was leading us? If we became more willing to listen, to take responsibility for our choices, and to see the humanity in people whose experiences or beliefs differ from ours?

I don't imagine a world where everyone agrees or where we've somehow risen above the messy parts of being human. God knows I haven't figured that out myself.

I imagine a world where we become more conscious of what we're carrying and what we're passing on. Where we remember our spiritual nature while becoming more present and responsible within our humanity.

What we believe about ourselves shapes how we live. And how we live shapes the world around us.

When we begin trusting ourselves, reclaiming the parts we've hidden, and making choices from a deeper relationship with our own truth, that change rarely ends with us. It touches how we love, parent, work, create, lead, and relate to others.

What I hope to contribute

I don't have all the answers. In fact, the older I get, the more I realize how little I know about this vast and mysterious existence we're part of.

I still get caught in fear and uncertainty. I still discover beliefs I didn't realize I was carrying. There are days when I feel deeply connected to God and my soul, and others when I'm very much navigating the ordinary struggles of being human.

But I know what I want to keep moving toward.

I want to live with greater awareness of who I am, what I believe, how I treat others, and what I'm contributing to the world. I want to keep deepening my relationship with God/Spirit, and to encourage others to explore their own connection with themselves, their souls, and whatever they understand the divine to be.

I want The Conscious Human to be a place for that exploration. A place where we can question, remember, reclaim, and become more fully expressed in our lives.

I believe personal remembrance can become a catalyst for collective change. And while I don't know exactly how that larger vision will unfold, I know it's worth contributing to.

A more conscious humanity begins with each of us.
