Your Privacy Matters
We recognize that the work we do often involves deeply personal experiences. We approach your information with the same respect, care, and confidentiality that we bring to every client relationship. The sections below explain, in plain terms, how we collect, use, and protect it.
1. Purpose of This Policy
The Conscious Human Soul Development Inc. (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal information.
This Privacy Policy outlines how information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed when you access or use our website and services, including those offered through The Conscious Human™ (the “Website”).
This Privacy Policy, together with our Terms & Conditions, governs your use of this Website. By accessing or using the Website, or by providing your information through any opt-in, purchase, application, or communication, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
Nature of Our Services
The Conscious Human provides spiritual mentorship, soul development guidance, and identity reclamation services through The Soul Reclamation Method™. Our services are not therapy, clinical counselling, psychiatric care, or regulated mental health treatment. Michele Edwards is not acting as a licensed therapist or regulated healthcare provider through The Conscious Human. Any personal, emotional, or historical information you share is received in the context of a spiritual mentorship and soul development relationship, not a clinical one. This distinction is relevant to how we collect and hold the personal and sensitive information you may share with us.
2. Legal Basis for Collection
We collect and process personal information only with your knowledge and consent, except where the law permits or requires otherwise. Consent may be express — meaning you actively provide it — or implied through your use of the Website or your ongoing service relationship with us. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual limitations.
Our privacy practices are intended to meet applicable privacy requirements, including Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

- Complete an application or intake form
- Register for a program or service
- Purchase a product or service
- Communicate with us
This may include your name, email address, phone number, and billing address.
B. Sensitive Personal Information
Due to the nature of our services, you may voluntarily share sensitive personal information, including:
- Personal history and lived experiences
- Emotional experiences and responses
- Spiritual beliefs or perspectives
- Written responses or disclosures
- Session-related information
This information may be considered sensitive personal data. You provide this information at your own discretion and acknowledge that it is not collected within a regulated healthcare system.
Sensitive information shared in one-on-one sessions is held in strict confidence and is accessed only by Michele Edwards and any authorized service provider who requires access for legitimate business or technical purposes, subject to appropriate privacy obligations. Sensitive information shared in group containers may be heard by other participants. Group participants are asked to hold all shared information in confidence; however, we cannot guarantee the conduct of third parties.
We encourage you to share only the information you feel is relevant to your participation in our services. Session notes and intake information are stored securely and are not shared with third parties except as described in this policy, as required by law, or with your explicit consent.
C. Order & Billing Information
When making a purchase, payment information is processed through our third-party payment processor(s), which may include Stripe and other payment providers made available through our checkout platform.
We retain only transaction information made available to us for business accounting, service delivery, and dispute resolution. We do not intentionally store full credit card numbers or CVV codes.
D. Information Collected Automatically
We may collect certain technical and usage data, including: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, date and time of access, and referring URLs.
E. Session and Program Recordings
Live sessions, group calls, and program content may be recorded for participant access and program delivery purposes. Recordings are stored using third-party platforms and accessed only as reasonably necessary for service delivery. Participants are notified before recording begins. Recordings are not shared publicly without your explicit consent.
If you do not wish to appear on camera, please notify us before the session. Note that in group containers, the call may still be recorded even if you choose not to appear on camera.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our Website may use essential cookies required for functionality and may also use analytics, advertising, or similar technologies. Where consent is required by applicable law, non-essential cookies or tracking technologies will be used in accordance with the consent choices made available through the Website or relevant third-party tools.
These technologies may be used to improve Website functionality, remember preferences, understand Website usage, and support marketing. Depending on the tools we use, this may include services such as Google Analytics or Meta technologies.
You may also manage cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect Website functionality or your experience.

8. Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party providers to operate our business. These providers may include website and learning platforms, email marketing platforms, payment processors, scheduling software, video conferencing and recording services, cloud storage providers, analytics services, and other operational tools. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party tools you interact with directly.
9. Retargeting & Behavioral Advertising
If we use retargeting or behavioral advertising technologies, information collected through permitted cookies or similar tools may be used to display advertisements on external platforms or measure marketing effectiveness. Any such use is subject to applicable consent requirements and the settings offered by those platforms.
10. Group Programs & Shared Environments
Our group programs, membership communities, online events, and social platforms create intentional spaces for shared exploration, reflection, and connection. While participants are asked to hold the disclosures of others in confidence, we cannot compel, monitor, or guarantee third-party conduct.
By participating in a group container, you acknowledge this inherent vulnerability and agree to honor the confidentiality of other participants’ disclosures. We encourage all participants to share only what feels right within a group setting and to reserve more sensitive personal disclosures for one-on-one sessions where confidentiality can be more fully protected.
11. Security of Your Information
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure. Internet transmission carries inherent risk and third-party systems may introduce additional vulnerabilities. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal and transaction information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services and meet legitimate business, tax, accounting, contractual, and legal obligations. Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose and applicable requirements.
Session-related notes, intake information, recordings, client materials, and digital access may have different retention periods depending on the service and systems used. Specific access periods for program content or recordings may be communicated at enrollment. Information that is no longer reasonably required may be deleted or anonymized, subject to legal and operational requirements.

15. Children’s Privacy
This Website and our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address the matter appropriately.
16. Legal Disclosure
We may disclose information where permitted or required by law, including in response to lawful orders or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights or safety.
17. Testimonials & Promotional Use
Testimonials, success stories, and identifiable client feedback are shared publicly only with appropriate permission. You may contact us if you wish to discuss or withdraw permission for future use, subject to practical and legal limitations relating to material already published or distributed.
18. AI & Automated Processing
We may use AI-assisted or automated tools for administrative and business purposes such as transcription, drafting, organization, or scheduling. When these tools process personal information, their use is subject to our privacy practices and the terms and safeguards of the applicable service providers. We do not intentionally use sensitive private-session or intake disclosures to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Conscious Human Soul Development Inc. is not liable for unauthorized access caused by third-party breaches, interception during transmission, or security failures beyond our reasonable control.
20. Changes to This Policy
